Ski

Salomon QST 92 Skis 2020

Along with the rest of the QST line, the Salomon QST 92 Skis have been re-engineered with a Powerframe Ti (Titanal) laminate, Cork Damplifier in the tip, and full length C/FX (carbon and flax) layer. The ski is as nimble as ever, but stability on hard snow and at speed is improved. A great choice as a mostly frontside ski that sees some action in the trees and bumps.

Rocker Type

All Terrain Rocker18% Tip Rocker / 70% Camber / 12% Tail Rocker

Core

Poplar Full WoodcoreA woodcore from tip to tail offers optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound. Maximizes ski-to-snow contact and filters vibrations.

Laminates

Carbon Powered C/FX Carbon Flax WeaveC/FX technology is elevated to the next level of performance by being supercharged with two times more carbon and balanced with basalt to keep its superior dampening and vibration absorption properties.

Powerframe TiAn edge-to-edge Titanal insert underfoot, running throughout the ski for maximum power and increased hard snow edging.

Cork DamplifierCork is three times more absorbing than Koroyd. Using it in the tip of the ski enables a high level of vibration absorption and dampening with even less weight.

Pulse PadA layer of rubber that runs along the edges and in ski's critical zones for a smoother ride and improved ski-to-snow contact.

Sidewalls

Full Sandwich SidewallsA laminate construction with full length ABS sidewalls gives extraordinary smooth ski/snow contact and great terrain adaptation. Laminated construction enables Salomon to combine optimum material layers for targeted performance.

Base

Sintered Graphite Base

Edges

Total Edge ReinforcementA fiber reinforcement directly on top of the edges improves durability, edge grip and shock resistance.

Additional Features

TPU Glossy Topsheet

Tail Protector

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Salomon S/Lab Shift MNC Alpine Touring Ski Bindings 2020

News of the Salomon S/Lab Shift MNC Alpine Touring Ski Bindings struck the ski industry like a bolt from the blue last season. A totally new concept developed from scratch by Salomon athlete Cody Townsend and binding designer Benoit Sublet, the Shift toe piece changes from a low profile conventional toe in ski mode to a fully "pinned" tech toe for skinning. The binding feels like a lighter, lower Warden 13 going downhill, then lets you engage your tech-toed boot to smoothly skin uphill. With a weight of 865 grams per binding, the Shift is a remarkable advance in both skiing and touring performance relative to frame AT bindings, and a very viable choice for those who want to ski lift-served terrain and true backcountry on a single setup.
